On Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 9 p.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots near 4020 Dundas Street West.

It is reported that:

– police located a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body,

– he was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

The victim has been identified as Shane Williams, 19, of Toronto.

The post-mortum examination has determined the cause of death to be two through-and-through gunshot wounds.

It is alleged that:

– the victim was shot from a moving motor vehicle, with four occupants,

– the vehicle was eastbound on Dundas Street West, along with several other cars driving in the area at the time of the shooting,

– the shots were fired from the car’s rear right passenger side.

The suspect vehicle is a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf or Honda hatchback.
