The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in connection with a homicide earlier this year.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, police were called to a home in the 1100 block of 18 Avenue N.W., where a man was found deceased.

An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the manner of death to be homicide. The victim was identified as Joel ZALSOS, 36, of Calgary.

The cause of death is not being released at this time.

Late last evening, Monday, March 7, 2011, investigators charged a man in connection with this incident.

Franco Sevellan SEVANDAL, 32, of Calgary, is charged with one count of second degree murder. He was remanded into custody and will make his first court appearance at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011.
