The Oshawa Power lost a back and forth affair to the Summerside Storm 129-121 at the Credit Union Place in Summerside, PEI Friday night.
The Power found themselves down 35-22 after another slow start but out-scored the Storm 43-23 in the second quarter to lead 65-58 at the half as Tut Ruach poured in 20 first half points for the visitors, who were looking for their second win in a row against Summerside. The Power took a 9 point lead into the fourth at 101-92 but the wheels came off in the fourth as the Storm outscored the Power 37-20 to seal the 8 point victory.
Canadian Tut Ruach was solid, notching a career and team-high of 26 points to go with 9 assists. Brandon Robinson recorded his third double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds while NBL MVP candidate Omari Johnson scored 25 points and added 7 rebounds. Kevin Shand scored 10 points while adding 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Despite shooting 50% from the field and 48% from behind the arc, the Power went down to a Storm team that took advantage of 11 more shots and 14 more rebounds than the Power. Mike Williams poured in a double double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Stephen McDowell scored 25 for the Storm who improve to 9-14 on the season.

Next up for the Power is the big Rogers Slam Dunk Day game on Thursday January 26 against the Saint John Mill Rats at the General Motors Centre.
