The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that defenceman Keith Aulie has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL). Defenceman Korbinian Holzer has been assigned to the Marlies.
Aulie has 17 penalty minutes and no points in 15 games for the Marlies this season. Last season, he played in 40 games for the Leafs and 36 for the Marlies. Holzer joined the Leafs on November 20 but did not appear in any games this week with the team.
After sweeping both road games this weekend against the St. John’s IceCaps, the Marlies will be looking to extend their franchise-best six game winning streak Tuesday when they take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 pm at Ricoh Coliseum.
