Marlies Continue Six Game Road Trip This Weekend With Two Games in Manitoba

Jeff Jackson, general manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that forward Dale Mitchell has been reassigned to the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL.

Mitchell, 20, skated in nine games with the Marlies this season, registering three points (two goals, one assist) and two penalty minutes. The 5’9, 207-pound forward scored his first career AHL goal on October 20 versus Abbotsford.

The Etobicoke, Ontario native appeared in 66 games with the Spitfires last season and recorded 68 points (33 goals, 35 assists) and 87 penalty minutes. Mitchell helped guide the Spitfires to the Memorial Cup championship with 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) in 20 playoff games.

The Marlies continue their six game road trip when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
