Winnipeg JetsThe Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Kyle Wellwood on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. 

Wellwood, 29, played in 77 games with the Winnipeg Jets last season. In that time, he recorded a career-high 47 points (18G, 29A), good enough for fifth on the team leaderboard, and four penalty minutes. 

The Windsor, ON native has played in 450 career NHL games between Toronto, Vancouver, San Jose and Winnipeg for 220 career points (86G, 134A) and 34 career penalty minutes. 

Wellwood was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round, 134th overall, in the 2001 NHL Draft.
