Jerry D’Amigo assigned to Marlies

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Monday that the hockey club has recalled forward Peter Holland from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs also assigned forward Jerry D’Amigo to the Marlies.

Holland, 22, has played 22 games with the Leafs in 2013-14, registering nine points (five goals, four assists) with 10 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 194-pound centreman also posted a goal and two penalty minutes in four games with the Anaheim Ducks this season before being acquired by Toronto on November 16, 2013. Holland, who was assigned to the Marlies on January 8, scored three goals and had 10 shots on goal in just two AHL games. He also posted five goals, four assists, nine points and 22 penalty minutes in 10 games with the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals earlier this season.

D’Amigo, 22, has scored a goal and added an assist in 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The 5-11, 208-pound winger made his NHL debut on December 5 vs. Dallas and recorded his first NHL goal on December 14 against Chicago. D’Amigo has also suited up in 19 games with the Marlies this season, posting eight points (five goals, three assists) with eight penalty minutes.
