In another first round game China’s, top seeded player in the tournament, Wang Yihan relieved into Women’s Singles second round after overwhelming Japan’s Kaori Imabeppu at Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open 2012 on Wednesday, November 21, in Hong Kong. Yihan whitewashed Japanese opponent in just 35 minutes.
India’s best player Saina Nehwal had a sound start in Hong Kong as she obtained a nice victory over Indonesia’s Aprilla Yuswandari in Women’s Singles first round in just 33 minutes.
Another experienced Chinese player Wang Shixian commence with a good start as she won the Women’s Singles first round fight against Russia’s Anastasia Prokopenko in just 35 minutes.
Japan’s player Minatsu Mitani had an ideal start in Women’s Singles category 1st round as she remained successful in winning against Sapsiree Taerattanachai in just 35 minutes.
In Men’s Singles 1st round encounter Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei capture a grand start in Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open as he whipped Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand in just 33 minutes having great figures of 21-15 and 21-15.
Another Malaysia’s competent player Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif had a flawless game and sent-off Vladimir Ivanov in just 24 minutes by 21-18 and 21-8 margin.
Men’s Singles professional Chen Long proved his class in the opening round by out-classed Andre Kurniawan Tedjono of China in a 37-minute fight with a score of 21-10 and 21-13.
