India will face Pakistan in the 2nd ODI match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkatta on Thursday.
India is under an immense pressure while entering the match, as another loss will cost them the series. In the first ODI game, the Indian batsmen failed to stand in front of the smashing Pakistani bowling attack especially of Junaid Khan. Now, they need to map a strategy to survive against the new ball in the first power play rather than looking for boundaries. So that with more wickets in hand, they may give them a tough time and pave their way towards victory. The probable Indian squad will include: 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Suresh Raina, 7 MS Dhoni, 8 R Ashwin, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Ashok Dinda.
On the other hand, Eden Gardens is a favorable venue for Pakistan as they have never lost an ODI match have never lost to the hosts and just once to Sri Lanka back in 1997. Pakistan is unlikely to make any changes to their winning squad. Junaid Khan and Muhammad Irfan ripped through the Indian starting batting line-up in the 1st ODI, reducing the score to just 227 runs. Every player is able to do the damage when time comes. The likely Pakistani lineup will include: 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Nasir Jamshed, 3 Azhar Ali, 4 Younis Khan, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq, 6 Shoaib Malik, 7 Kamran Akmal (wk), 8 Junaid Khan, 9 Umar Gul, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Mohammad Irfan.
