On Tuesday February 5th, 2013, stage 3 will be started in Tour of Qatar, as Brent Bookwalter (USA) BMC Racing Team won stage 2 of the Tour of Qatar, out-classed Bernhard Eisel (Aut) Sky Procycling on the stage Al Rufaa Street while Mark Cavendish (GBr) Omega Pharma-Quick-Step Cycling Team finished third. Stage 3 has a flat category over a distance of 143km; it starts from Al Wakra to Masaieed. Race had been started on Sunday February 3rd, 2013, and will ends on Friday, February 8th, 2013. An American Evan Huffman debutant for Astana on stage one of the Tour of Qatar.
On Day 2 of Tour of Qatar, Italian sprinter Sacha Modolo of Bardiani Valvole-CSF Inox has been strained to quit the Tour of Qatar after x-rays confirmed he fractured his right scaphoid in his wrist.
From the day one, BMC Racing Team members signaled their intent to lead the Tour of Qatar by showing their performance at the start in Al Katara Cultural Village in skinsuits, they also placed five riders in the lead group after the group shattered into several strata on the exposed 145km leg across the peninsula.
