After one-sided defeat in the opening match of the three match series, Pakistan is set to make a comeback in the second test clash against the South Africa in Newlands, Cape Town on February 14.
After an embarrassing loss in the campaign opener test at Johannesburg due to the failed batting unit, Pakistan would be looking to make some amendments in their batting lineup to improve their chances to grab a victory this time. Their first innings score of 49 runs in the last test match was their lowest ever total in a test match inning ever. Although skipper Misbah ul Haq and Asad Shafiq tried to keep the momentum to avoid a heavy loss in the 2nd innings but the rest of the players remain unable to stand in front of the remarkable bowling attack. However, the bowling department of the tourists is much more capable and effective with every bowler included delivering what is expected of them. The probable Pakistani lineup will include: Mohammad Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Rahat Ali.
On the other hand, South Africa would be looking to wrap up the series after a marvelous victory in the 1st test clash. They are leading the series with 1-0 and another consecutive win will make them to lead the series with 2-0 against the young Asian giants. It’s been fourteen months since South Africa had lost a Test match, and their unbeaten run currently sits at 13 matches. That is enough to prove their invincible performance, lead them to become one of the most powerful sides in world cricket. They are best to deliver with both bat and ball against any team to prove their strength. The likely South African squad will include: Graeme Smith (capt), Alviro Petersen, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers (wk), Dean Elgar, Faf du Plessis, Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel.
