The WTA Tour, Indian Wells 2013 will be continued on Friday 15th March 2013, which takes place in Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Coachella Valley, India. The tournament will be ending on tomorrow 17th March 2013.
On Day 9, the women’s tennis quarter-finals at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells did not get through as scheduled for Thursday, due to injuries smack the 1st and 7th seeds, made the reason both to withdraw for both the star players.
The first quarter final scheduled between 7th seeded Sam Stosur of Australia and 4th seeded German, Angelique Kerber. Stosur broken a calf muscle at the end of her fourth round match and she did everything possible in order to recover but the injury stand out too severe. Kerber is currently into her second semi final of 2013, but her lope in Indian Wells has been nice and easy, the highest ranked player she met in this tournament was Yanina Wickmayer who is ranked at 32, so she will have to show her best game when she faces Caroline Wozniacki.
The second match was to have been between Wozniacki and top seed Victoria Azarenka, but Azarenka had to pull out with an ankle injury that has weighed down her during this tournament. Wozniacki won the title here in 2011 and goes into the semi leading the confronting each other against Kerber 3-2, while the German has won the last three times they have played.
