On Day 4 of second test clash, England is in immense need to survive 90 overs with only six wickets remaining on the final day to avoid loss of a Test series in New Zealand for the first time in 30 years.
England made only 90 for 4 on Monday with Ian Bell unbeaten at 8 after New Zealand, after taking a lead of 239 runs in first innings, declared their second innings at 241 for 6 and gave England the target to chase 481 runs to win the match.
England lost Nick Compton (2), Jonathan Trott (37) , Alastair Cook (43), and Steve Finn (0) before days’ close, and English team looks in total mess with the necessity to survive the last day.
