In the opening round of Li Ning Singapore Open 2013, China’s talented shuttler Wang Zhengming began in a perfect way by defeating Daren and qualified for the pre quarter-finals on June 19, 2013. This Men’s Singles fight was staged in the local badminton complex of Singapore involving both the players for 42 minutes with the final outcome of 21-15 and 21-18.

Germany’s Juliane Schenk performed in a brilliant manner and marched into the pre quarter-finals in the Women’s Singles tussle against Chan Tsz Ka of Hong Kong in a 44 minutes long meeting with decisive figures of 16-21, 21-6 and 21-13.

Thailand’s Mixed Doubles team Sudket Prapakamol-Saralee Thoungthongkam cleared 1^st round and marched into pre quarter-finals after their encounter against Chan Yun Lung-Tse Ying Suet in a challenging three-set game. This clash lasted for 50 minutes before ending with decisive figures of 19-21, 21-14 and 21-19.
