After a drawn test series, New Zealand will all set to avenge a humiliating loss to Bangladesh three years ago when the one-day international series against the hosts starts in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Kiwis were surprised in 2010 when they had to suffer ODI series loss with 4-0 to a young Bangladeshi side, a drubbing that resulted in several NZ team officials’ forced to quit back at home. The tourists have been in a good form over the last 12 months as they had won two of their last four bilateral series, against South Africa and England. The likely Kiwi squad will include: 1 Anton Devcich, 2 Hamish Rutherford, 3 Kane Williamson, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Brendon McCullum (capt & wk), 6 Corey Anderson, 7 Grant Elliott/James Neesham, 8 Nathan McCullum, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Kyle Mills, 11 Mitchell McClenaghan.
On the other hand, Bangladesh own a pace attack that is a little unstable with Mashrafe Mortaza making a comeback, their batting line-up is beginning to look solid. Captain Mushfiqur Rahim leads a middle order that has Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain, while Mominul Haque’s two Test centuries will hold him in good stead. The probable Bangladeshi lineup will include: 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Anamul Haque, 3 Mominul Haque, 4 Mushfiqur Rahim (capt & wk), 5 Shakib Al Hasan/Naeem Islam, 6 Nasir Hossain, 7 Mahmudullah, 8 Sohag Gazi, 9 Abdur Razzak, 10 Mashrafe Mortaza, 11 Rubel Hossain.
