India will start their tour of New Zealand with the ODI series as they will play 1st ODI match against New Zealand in Napier on Sunday.
India, in their last away series are in the middle of a form slump after losing to the Proteas 2-0. However, before that they beat the West Indies in a home series last November with 2-1. India have struggled away from home but will be confident knowing that they play New Zealand who have been inconsistent but their pace bowlers will be required to perform well to support the batsmen. The likely Indian lineup will include: MS Dhoni(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra, Ishwar Chand Pandey, Stuart Binny, Varun Aaron.
New Zealand played the West Indies at home and drew the ODI series 2-2. Jesse Ryder returned to International cricket against the West Indies and his task will be to target the Indian fast bowlers on the short boundaries in New Zealand and put them under pressure so that hosts can attain some early lead in the series.
