On Day 2 of the 3rd test clash, only the rain could stop Australia captain Michael Clarke against South Africa as the visitors reached a commanding 494 for 7 on Sunday.
Clarke reached his 27th Test century in the morning and converted it into an unbeaten 161 during the afternoon. Rain dominated the second half of the day, triggering an early tea with the final session totally washed out.
Clarke had passed 150 in a Test innings for the tenth time, and the fourth against South Africa.
