After losing the opening matches of their qualifying campaign, Hong Kong and Afghanistan will face each other in the Group A match at Chittagong on Tuesday.

Afghanistan made its position remarkable as it won 26 of 28 matches during 2013, except Ireland. It made its debut at the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbean and also made an appearance in 2012 tournament. This is Afghanistan’s third ICC Global Event. Prior to its current entry, Afghanistan finished runner-up in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Championship and secured a qualification spot for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia New Zealand, its first 50-over ICC Global Event. However, they were beat by Bangladesh in the tournament opener with nine wickets. They need to win this game to remain in the fight for top spot in the group. The likely Afghanistan line-up will include: Mohammad Nabi (c), Karim Sadiq, Mohammad Shahzad (wk), Asghar Stanikzai, Nawroz Mangal, Samiullah Shenwari, Najibullah Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf, Shapoor Zadran, Gulbadin Naib, Najeeb Tarakai, Dawlat Zadran , Aftab Alam, Hamza Hotak, Shafiqullah.

On the other hand, Hong Kong had to suffer a devastating defeat at the hands of Nepal with 80 runs on Sunday. The crushing loss has already decreased the chances for Hong Kong to make into the Super 10 stage, and if they lost today they will be officially out of fray. The probable Hong Kong squad will include: Jamie Atkinson (C), Waqas Barkat, Mark Chapman, Irfan Ahmed, Nadeem Ahmed, Haseeb Amjad, Tanwir Afzal, Babar Hayat, Nizakat Khan, Aizaz Khan, Najeeb Amar, Ehsan Nawaz, Roy Lamsam, Kinchit Shah and Munir Dar.
