On Day 4 of the second test match, Kane Williamson reached his first Test double century and shared a world record 365-run sixth-wicket partnership with BJ Watling to put New Zealand in a dominating position on Tuesday.
Williamson was 242 and Watling 142 when New Zealand declared its second innings at 524 for 5 an hour before stumps, giving Sri Lanka a target of 390 to win the match level the series.
