Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team to play annual Test match championship with the Kiwis, US and Australia.

The Canadians ranked 3rd in the world look set to play New Zealand ranked 1st , USA 4th, Australia 7th in an annual Test championship due to be announced soon by World Rugby.

Leading the charge is the seventh-ranked Australian women who have been crying out for more regular match-ups and they have four Tests – against the Black Ferns and Japan – lined up for this 2019 season.

But that number will only go one way in coming years and a new annual competition to be announced later this year will give  all nations  a guaranteed schedule in the lead-up to the 2021 women’s World Cup.

The concept was referenced in World Rugby’s Nations Championship documentation released last week, but the women’s rugby heads of the top nations also met in Dublin earlier this month for some detailed planning to nut out set Test windows and competitions.
