Toronto FCToronto FC announced on Monday that Stuart Neely has resigned from his role as Academy Director. Earl Cochrane who’s currently the director of team operations will assume the responsibilities on an interim basis. 

“We are disappointed to learn of Stuart’s resignation. He has contributed a great deal to our Academy program,” said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director, Aron Winter. “Under Stuart’s watch, six players have joined the first team and he deserves a lot of credit for this accomplishment. On behalf of everyone at Toronto FC, I’d like to thank Stuart for his countless contributions and wish him well in his future endeavours.” 

The Glasgow, Scotland native was promoted to the position of Director in January after serving with the Academy since its inception. Prior to joining Toronto FC, Neely held positions at Soccer Canada and the Ontario Soccer Association.
