Toronto FC selected midfielder Luis Silva with the fourth overall pick and defender Aaron Maund with the 12th overall pick, Thursday in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
“We are very happy to have drafted two quality players in Luis and Aaron,” said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director Aron Winter. “Luis is a very strong technical and tactical player. His movements with and without the ball convinced us he will fit in well at Toronto. Aaron fills a need for us in defence. He is a player we watched for a long time and during the combine. Both will be assets for our club and we leave the draft very satisfied. I want to compliment our staff for doing a terrific job during this process.”
