With fall in full swing and Christmas right around the corner, you may think that Toronto’s food trucks have closed up shop for the season. Not so fast! Food Truck’N Friday, Toronto’s premier bi-weekly food truck event, keeps on truckin’ along with two final dates in November.
The remaining dates of the year, scheduled for Friday, November 11 and Friday, November 25, cap off a hugely successful season for Food Truck’N Friday, now in its second year of operations. The two November dates mark Food Truck’N Friday’s 29th and 30th events, respectively, featuring new lineups of food trucks that include both newcomers and fan favourites.
“We’ve had an incredible year that has seen us grow in size and value to our surrounding community,” said Jason Bellissimo, Director of Sales & Marketing of J.B. Innovative Solutions Inc., and founder of Food Truck’N Friday. “It’s a bittersweet feeling to know that the year is coming to an end, but we’re already looking ahead to 2017, which I’m sure will be even bigger – and better – than 2016!”
Bellissimo is excited to announce that Food Truck’N Friday has secured its primary residence at the corner of Bloor Street West and Resurrection Road in Etobicoke for 2017, with the year’s first event tentatively scheduled for April 21. Food trucks, retail vendors and businesses can inquire about registration and community partnership opportunities at sales@jbisi.com.
“We are always looking to work with new businesses and food trucks so that we can offer new and diverse lineups week in and week out. It’s a great opportunity for the food truck community and local businesses to showcase their skills and products to one of Toronto’s most affluent and culturally diverse neighbourhoods – it’s a win-win for everyone involved,” added Bellissimo.
On Friday, November 11th, Food Truck’N Friday will welcome ME.N.U food truck, which specializes in Asian street food, for the first time. Sushiburri will also make its highly anticipated return, as will Bestia, Wickedly Sinful, Gourmet Guyz, The Food Dudes, and Che. Holy Cannoli will also be on site to dish out its delicious desserts and free hot chocolate with every purchase.
Food Truck’N Friday is Toronto’s premier, bi-weekly food truck event, free to attend and takes place every second Friday, rain or shine, in the parking lot at Bloor St. W. and Resurrection Road, just west of Islington subway station. The November 11th event kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 p.m. Plenty of free parking is available.
