The Life takes us back to New York City in the 1980s. It was dodgey, dirty, and the streets were riddled with hookers and pimps. We explore the grungy underbelly of Time Square before it became the clean cut, corporate landmark that it is today. These are the stories of the hookers who were working to survive, and the pimps that they answered to. Drugs, violence, lies and deceit ensue. Women working to save themselves, men working to get their fix – everyone working to keep surviving the life.
