Friday Night Jazz hosts trumpeter and music historian Nolan Shaheed, who will share his musical talents along with Joel Scott on piano, Zane Musa on saxophone, Robert Russell on bass, and Founder’s acclaimed house drummer Quentin Dennard. In addition to the music, Shaheed will offer insights into the history of Jazz in America, with a special emphasis on the contribution of African-Americans (in honor of Black History Month). Shaheed has been one of L.A.’s top studio musicians since 1974, and has played with everyone from Count Basie to Marvin Gaye to Stevie Wonder. Learn more.
