Terrace Theater (Long Beach, CA)

Music Director Enrique Arturo Diemecke leads the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra in this concert featuring works by Dvorak, Mendelssohn and Schubert. As the concert opens with Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances, close your eyes and conjur images of colorfully costumed dancers performing the the furiant, the dumka, the polka and the klatovak. Next, luxuriate in the beautiful melodies in one of the most popular and technically challenging pieces in the violin repertoire, Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin, performed by the orchestra’s own Katia Popov.
