The Verdi Chorus Performs Love and Romance Opera Style

First United Methodist Church-Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA)

The Verdi Chorus kicks off their 29th season with a performance of Love and Romance Opera Style. On the program will be pieces celebrating the affairs of the heart, including selections from Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore (The Elixir of Love), Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette and the finale to Act II’s party scene of Johan Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. Joining the chorus will be soloists Ani Maldjian, soprano, Daniel Montenegro, tenor, and Gregorio Gonzalez, baritone. Maldjian performs often with the Long Beach Opera, Montenegro has performed with both the Paris Opera and the San Francisco Opera, and Gonzalez has sung many roles with the L.A. Opera. Learn more…
