2012 GREEN LIVING SHOW – hours: Friday, April 13: 10am to 9pm Saturday, April 14: 10am to 9pm Sunday, April 15: 10am to 6pm This year’s Green Living Show (GLS), April 13 to 15, at the Direct Energy Center, Exhibition Place will see an exciting new feature exhibit organized by Fair Trade Toronto (FTT) and also mark the launch of an FTT-led campaign to elevate the City of Toronto to Fair Trade Town status! Our exhibit – Toronto Fair Trade Town – will be a place to find incredible products made with care for our planet and the people who make them! Fair Trade standards ensure fair prices for producers in developing countries, respect and nurture the environment, strengthen workers rights, create healthy workplaces, help to stop child labour and support community development. Fair Trade Toronto, in partnership with Fairtrade Canada, is proud to present this engaging new feature exhibit to mark the official public launch of Torontos campaign towards becoming a real Fair Trade Town. Discover the extraordinary beauty, diversity and quality of fair trade products; meet our adorable Fair Trade mascots; participate in interactive learning activities and be a part of the movement thats making Toronto greener and fairer!
