Camp Logan: Play Based on a True Story of Historic Infantry Rebellion

The Robey Theatre Company presents the West Coast premiere of Camp Logan by Celeste Bedford Walker. Set in Houston, Texas in 1917 and based on true events, Camp Logan tells of the 24th Infantry of Black soldiers. Following constant conflict and confrontation with the white civilians and Houston police, the company marches on the town in a historic act of revolt that became one of the most violent racial conflicts in United States military history. The production, directed by Alex Morris is co-produced by Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis (The Help).
