Two of L.A.’s best local bands are set to unleash a torrent of rock on stage to help homeless animals at the premiere Rock & Rescue concert. Pop-rock band Elvis Monroe features an all-star lineup, including talent from Matchbox 20 and Lifehouse, jamming on their own original Americana tunes. South Gate’s The Tender Box combines the best of Brit rock-pop with hometown Mexican-American influences to create a completely original, danceable sound. Their song “Mister Sister” can be heard in several national commercials, and their latest release is 2011’s Reverence. Enjoy the show and know you’re helping bring awareness to pet adoption and spay/neuter programs too. There will be an open bar, courtesy of Coconut O.N.E. Some of L.A.’s famous food trucks will also be on hand to offer grub, for an extra charge.
