Ford Amphitheatre (Hollywood, CA)
The Goethe-Institut Los Angeles teams up with Internet radio collective dublab to present a tribute to krautrock, the German music of the 1970s that influenced industrial, synth-pop and much of today’s electronic and ambient music. Several of L.A.’s top bands, DJs and solo artists will join forces to perform music by such legendary krautrock acts as Kraftwerk, Faust, Can, Neu! and others. Among those on the bill: Dntel, the solo project of Jimmy Tamborello, known for his work with the Postal Service; experimental electronic artist Daedelus; DJ, radio host and producer Carlos Niño; and indie/lo-fi rising star Nite Jewel.
