If you’ve got facial hair that is the envy of others, then you’ll want to enter the 2012 Los Angeles Beard and Mustache Competition. Last year’s competition was so popular that it sold out within 15 minutes, so this year’s event is being held at the larger Belasco Theater in downtown L.A. Ladies, there’s even a category for you to compete with your handmade beards and mustaches. Whether you’re participating or are just intrigued by the concept of boundary-pushing facial hair, this event promises a full day of insane creativity, a commemorative photo booth, facial hair-care vendors, live bands and DJs, specialty acts, food trucks and four fully-stocked bars. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Pasadena.
