Face Cream: Romantic Comedy Explores Wrinkles in Relationship

Studio C’s West Coast premiere of this Off-Broadway romantic comedy finds a woman in serious crisis — her daughter’s wedding is approaching and she’s run out of her favorite facial-care product. But her real issues become apparent soon enough. Underneath it all, she’s really afraid of aging and frustrated with her longtime husband Michael, who has a tendency to tune her out. For his part, though, Michael hopes they can iron out their issues and let true love triumph. Written by Maggie Bofill, the show stars experienced L.A. actors Rhonda Lord and Patrick Muñoz.
