Not So Artful Productions presents the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This is the story of six young people vying for a spelling championship and navigating the trials and tribulations of puberty. These young overachievers are overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves. Before the contest is over, they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. The Tony-winning creative team behind the musical has created a quirky but lovable cast of characters that you can’t help but root for, as well as humorous and catchy songs that capture teenage angst at its finest, from “Woe Is Me” to “My Unfortunate Erection (Chip’s Lament).”
