Led by former Oingo Boingo drummer Johnny “Vatos” Hernandez, the Johnny Vatos Boingo Dance Party celebrates the high-energy ’80s New Wave band’s legendary music. From “Dead Man’s Party” to “Just Another Day,” “Little Girls,” “Stay” and more, Johnny Vatos Boingo Dance Party performs Oingo Boingo’s biggest hits. Afterward, settle in for an advance screening of G-Dog, the new documentary by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Freida Lee Mock that follows Father Greg Boyle and the men and women of Homeboy Industries youth program as they face the financial crisis that almost forced them to close their doors forever. Homeboy Bakery and Homegirl Café will be on hand selling some their delicious confections. All proceeds from the event benefit Homeboy Industries.
