Screening of Newly Restored Cult Classic Film Spider Baby

As part of its Film-to-Film Festival, the Academy Film Archive offers a world-premiere screening of its new restoration of Spider Baby, also known as The Maddest Story Ever Told. Released in 1968, the cult classic black-and-white film tells the story of three siblings suffering from a rare genetic disorder that causes them to regress to a primal state of being and act out with savage, incestuous and animalistic behavior. The eerie film was the solo directorial debut of writer-director Jack Hill, who will appear as a special guest at the screening, along with stars Quinn Redeker and Beverly Washburn.
