A hit right from its 1980 debut on Broadway, 42nd Street follows the journey of star-struck chorus girl Peggy Sawyer as she tries to make her mark in show business. It’s a a timeless tale of dedication, hard work, talent and being in the right place at the right time. And of course there is also a love story. Set during the Great Depression, 42nd Street is filled with famous musical numbers, including “We’re in the Money,” “You’re Getting to Be a Habit with Me,” “Lullaby of Broadway” and the title song. 42nd Street won a Tony Award for its original 1980 production and continues to thrill audiences today.
