The Yuval Ron Ensemble, led by the Academy Award-winning composer (West Bank Story) and oud player, is an internationally-acclaimed world-music favorite, featuring artists of varying faiths and backgrounds performing the sacred Jewish and Sufi music and dance of the Middle East. Ron’s aim is to unite Muslims, Jews and Christians through their shared ancient musical influences. The group includes vocalist Najwa Gibran and Maya Haddi along with several artists on percussion and various other instruments. They’ve produced three CDs and have toured the world, and were even invited to perform for the Dalai Lama.
