Conspiracies abound in this remount of The Magic Bullet Theory at The Matrix Theatre. Originally produced at Sacred Fools Theater earlier in the year, The Magic Bullet Theory presents a twisted take on the who, how and why of the Kennedy assassination. Follow anti-hero Charlie Harrelson (Hollywood actor Woody’s dad as played by an actor) as he navigates murder, betrayal, drugs, ghosts and even love to arrive at some kind of truth. J.J. Mayes directs the show, which was written by Terry Tocantins and Alex Zola. After its Los Angeles run, they will take the play to Washington, D.C. and New York and are developing a feature film script of the play with hopes to have it on screen by next November, the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination and the birth of countless conspiracy theories.
