A group of Japanese war brides from World War II who now live in Kansas meet for a farewell to one of their friends who has mysteriously died in Velina Hasu Houston’s seminal production. In honor of the 25th anniversary of Hasu Houston’s landmark work, the East West Players have turned the dramatic play into a musical in Tea, With Music.
