Pasadena Pro Musica — the long-running, independent, non-profit chorus that’s now celebrating its 49th season — rings in the holidays with a fittingly festive program entitled Choral Christmas. In keeping with the approximately 50-member ensemble’s mission of singing distinguished yet less-frequently performed masterpieces for chamber chorus, this program features two jubilant pieces by Bach along with seasonal works by Brahms and Poulenc. The show will also highlight the transparent beauties of Hugo Distler’s Die Weihnachtsgeschichte (which translates as The Christmas Story).
