The Wilshire Ebell Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

Like a bizarro Santa atop a sleigh stuffed with smut, director-writer-actor-raconteur John Waters will slide down the chimney at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre to deliver his unique take on the holiday season. A Baltimore native, Waters is best known for his campy taste, colorful cultural commentary and boundary-busting cult films like Pink Flamingos, Hairspray and A Dirty Shame. For this one-man show performance, dubbed A John Waters Christmas, Waters puts the “X” in Xmas as he shares his compulsive desire to give and receive perverted gifts, a religious fanaticism for Santa Claus, and an unhealthy love of true-crime holiday horror stories.
