American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis joins Grammy-nominated R&B star Deborah Cox to inject new life into darkly romantic musical Jekyll & Hyde, the quintessential tale of good vs. evil. Jekyll & Hyde earned a cult following after four years on Broadway and multiple worldwide tours. Now, Jekyll & Hyde returns with new direction and choreography by Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun — headed back to Broadway following a U.S. tour. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story, the musical follows the life of brilliant Doctor Jekyll (Maroulis) whose experiments with human personality result in the creation of a monstrous alter ego, Mr. Hyde — and both Jekyll and Hyde have their eyes set on Lucy (Cox), a prostitute with a heart of gold. The show’s classic songs, such as “This Is the Moment,” “A New Life,” and “Someone Like You,” are reinterpreted to suit the powerful and contemporary vocal stylings of Maroulis and Cox.
