Ambassador Auditorium (Pasadena, CA)
The Pasadena Symphony and POPS is a jewel of the Crown City. From its origins as an all-volunteer civic orchestra in 1928, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS has evolved into one of the premier professional musical organizations in the country. From its home in the Ambassador Auditorium — widely regarded as “The Carnegie Hall of the West” — the Pasadena Symphony has, season after season, played a program celebrated nationwide for its breadth and spirit of adventure. Similarly, the Pasadena Pops, a favorite of legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch, has developed an equally excellent reputation for its interpretation of popular music. Whether outdoor or indoor, be it classical, avant-garde, or pop, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS provides a standard of musical excellence rarely matched in the Southland or anywhere else.
