Arkansas-born singer-songwriter Kris Allen won over audiences on Season 8 of American Idol with his heartfelt coffeehouse musician vibe. Allen triumphed over powerhouse vocalist Adam Lambert in the season finale by showing off his ability to play piano and guitar in addition to singing. After his big win, Allen hit the road on the American Idol while prepping his debut album for release. The single from that first album, “Live Like We’re Dying,” hit the top 100 singles charts and sold 1.7 million copies. Allen returned with a second album in 2012, named Thank You Camellia. Allen will perform songs from throughout his career live at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. The opening acts for the evening are Zak Waters Band and Harley Jay.
