Oxnard Performing Arts Center (Oxnard, CA)

In the West Coast premiere of Visions of America: A Photo-Symphony, photo-historian Joseph Sohm’s iconic photographs of America are set to the music of Grammy award-winning composer Roger Kellaway and the lyrics of Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Alan and Marilyn Bergman. This sweeping, multimedia concert features images from Sohm’s vast and captivating collection, Visions of America, which includes widely-published photos captured in all 50 states over a span of 30 years. These performances at Oxnard Performing Arts Center feature vocalists Judith Hill and Steve Tyrell, accompanied by the New West Symphony Chorus and a recorded narration by Clint Eastwood. Pianist Norman Krieger makes his New West Symphony debut performing George Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F Major.
