The Pasadena Playhouse (Pasadena, CA)
Long before the saucy storylines of Sex and the City or Desperate Housewives, and even the timeless female-duo comedies centered on the likes of Lucy and Ethel, Laverne and Shirley, or Patsy and Edwina, there was Fallen Angels. Written by esteemed British actor-playwright Noël Coward, Fallen Angels premiered at the Globe Theatre in 1925 and went on Broadway success first in 1927 and then in revival in 1956. Now, the witty and charming high comedy about two happily married female best friends — and their surprise visit from a mutual former lover — returns to the stage at The Pasadena Playhouse. Art Manke directs the show.
