The Mirror Theatre mounts a new production of acting-writing team Joseph Bologna and Renee Taylor’s much-loved comedy about love, right on the heels of the Valentine’s Day holiday. A huge hit on both stage and screen in the early ’70s, the play centers around a soon-to-be married couple whose groom has a serious case of cold feet, and the various romantic trials and tribulations of their friends and families. Featuring all four stories from the original Broadway run, this version also includes a bonus storyline written especially for the movie. That film starred a veritable constellation of stars, including Cloris Leachman, Bea Arthur, Anne Meara, Gig Young, Diane Keaton and Richard Castellano, who received an Oscar nod for his role, as did the screenplay.
