Ballaké Sissoko & Vincent Ségal: World Chamber Music Concert

Malian kora player Ballaké Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Ségal combine their amazing talents to create a truly unique world-music sound, drawing from both West African and Western European traditions. The two friends and stringed-instrument musicians make their much-anticipated West Coast debut with this live concert, which features selections from their groundbreaking 2009 disc Chamber Music, recorded in Bamako, Mali. This is just one of Ségal’s many interesting collaborations, as he carries the cello into trip hop, electronica and more.
