The Los Angeles Galaxy host Costa Rica’s C.S. Herediano in CONCACAF Champions League action. Led by striker Robbie Keane, the Galaxy head into the 2013 season after claiming the MLS Cup in 2011 and 2012. As the champions of America’s elite soccer league, they enter CONCACAF Champions League play, where they compete against the top teams from across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Founded in 1921, C.S. Herediano is one of the oldest and most storied teams in Costa Rican soccer history. The Galaxy are the only American team ever to win a CONCACAF title, capturing the championship in 2000.
